For this reason, people who are sensitive to caffeine, or who have anxiety disorders, palpitations, uncontrolled high blood pressure, chronic insomnia, or heart rhythm problems should be cautious and limit the amount. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should only drink matcha with their doctor’s approval and in small amounts, due to the caffeine.
